Powell endorses Obama

In case you are living under a rock somewhere, here is the video from the Powell endorsement this morning on Meet the Press.



Obviously this is huge for Obama. The only thing that would give me pause is, although Colin Powell is well regarded by all, his decision making over time can be criticized. For instance, he strongly endorsed the Bush/Cheney ticket in 2000 and eventually became Defense Secretary. I think it is fairly safe to say that the Bush/Cheney administration will go down as one of the worst in history.

Also, he chose to go to war with Iraq and still defends his decision to this day. This was also another big mistake.

Could Obama be his third bad choice in a row? I certainly hope not since as of this post I am voting for Obama. Only time will tell. Either way, McCain's campain will not be able to spin this one at all. My guess is they will just try to change the subject which is the best possible choice.
